I don’t want to get in the way.
I’m hoping that all these things will help you connect with the moments in which they were made.
The portraits are mostly painted at my Thursday night group. We have about three hours, including breaks, so they are done quickly and often look unfinished. But I don’t work on them once the moment has passed.
Sculptures come from my work with Mary Orram’s group and my degree (also unfinished…).
As far as I can, I’m trying to get past habit and practice. I’d like you to experience the shifting colour and light of each moment as I worked.
